'The British Magazine and Monthly Register of Religious and Ecclesiastical information ...', vol. XVI, London, 1839, noted that year the marriage of the 'Rev. J. F. Colls BD... to Eliza Adams, only child of W H Wilson Esq.' (page 471). The donor of this miniature was presumably the Rev. J.F. Colls widow, Mrs Eliza Colls.
