Production | Note from 1946 Accessions catalogue: "A number of pictures exist similar to the above in technique, some signed 'W. Hayes' and dated 1785. They were made by taking impressions on coarse paper from moulds so that the forms stood out in relief. These were then painted over in gouache." |
