Etching and drypoint entitled 'The Surrender Of Jerusalem', depicting two British soldiers standing at ease with rifles, a short distance outside the city. In the distance, the Arab Mayor is visible between two Turkish police bearing white flags of surrender. The soldiers in the foreground are Sergeants Hurcomb and Sedgwick of the 2-19th Battalion, 60th (London) Division. Signed 'McBey' and in ink 'James McBey'. Inscribed '9 December 1917 Jerusalem', and numbered in ink 'XLIV'.
