Object history
The drawings Circ.675-1972 to Circ.675s-1974 were all made for the cover of a long playing record produced by Island Records, with tracks by several different groups and solo singers. The cover was designed by Douglas Maxwell Ltd, using Alan Cracknell’s pencil drawings. The drawings were mostly made from photographs, though some of the artists did sit for the portraits. All were done in 1972.
