Gallery label | Moore's photographs of everyday scenes give the impression that beneath surface appearances there might be something strange going on. He called this 'the uncommonness of the commonplace'. Mostly empty of people, the images show human traces and explore the imprecise meeting points between the rural and the urban. In his graphic, often geometric compositions, Moore uses details such as mirrors and windows to create an intense, even melancholy atmosphere.(19/03/2012) |
