The Swiss graphic designer Josef Müller Brockmann developed a signature style based on simple geometric grids in complementary or contrasting colours and sans-serif typefaces. This poster advertising a classical music concert is typical of his prolific graphic output. His connection to music was a personal one as his wife Verena Brockmann was a violinist.
