The bodice front has panels of gauging at the chest and waist, and the wrist-length inset sleeves have cream-coloured machine-made lace cuffs. The dress is in a low-waisted style with a pleated skirt, and a self fabric sash effect with a bow at the back; it fastens at the front with white metal buttons and stitched buttonholes, with a metal hook and stitched loop at the neck front.
