Object history
Shri Nathji, or Krishna, is an incarnation of Vishnu, the preserver and the maintainer of the established order in Hinduism. The emblem of Lord Vishnu, the vishnupada, or "feet of Vishnu" are on the other. Entry in the acquisition register says that the "Designs (two) on the front and back of the above armlet, drawings, illuminatied, by the native designer".
