Content description
Before Bill Graham promoted concerts at the Fillmore, he was the San Francisco Mime Troupe’s manager. His 1965 benefit for the Troupe, at which Jefferson Airplane played, raised $4,000 and proved concerts were profitable, so Graham leased the Fillmore Auditorium. This poster is for another benefit organised by Graham after members of the Troupe were busted for possession of marijuana seed in Canada, in order to cover their legal costs.
