Physical description

Medium and small size sprays of a single flower (clematis ?) repeat (48 x 27 cm) over the enter of the cloth. The border has no confining guard stripes or edging. It has a pattern of alternated acanthus scrolls. The main pattern is in damask with a satin of 5, but it is shaded with areas in 2x2 twill. Near one corner, boldly embroidered in white, are the initials RH.
