This poster is one in a series from the long-running advertising campaign commissioned by the General Post Office (GPO) in Britain. The straightforward message encourages people to pack their parcels with care to avoid loss or damage. The record player and the bold - even loud - swirls of colour emerging from it suggest that the GPO was keen to tap into the then-current imagery of the "swinging 'Sixties," with its vibrant youth culture and music scenes.
