Chika Hosoi is a member of the 62 Group of Textile Artists. Since 1962, some of the finest and most highly regarded British textile artists have been members of the Group. The membership is now international and is achieved through selection or by invitation. Hosoi submitted 'Untitled I, II and III' for selection to the 'Textiles in Context' exhibition held at the V&A in 2002, which celebrated the fortieth anniversary of the Group. All submissions had to respond to or be inspired by the V&A's extensive collection of fine and decorative arts. Hosoi believes that 'Untitled I, II and III' are evocative of many of the everyday objects which have been collected over the years, and form a common bond between maker and Museum.
