Sketchbook containing pencil and watercolour drawings of beach scenes and figure subjects, some of which formed the basis for illustrations to 'Trouville-sur-Mer', published in 'The Graphic' (XX, pp. 353-360, 1879), together with animal and landscape studies. Some of the drawings are inscribed with colour notes.
The volume consists of 86 pages in total. The paper is cream coloured wove paper, bound in green boards with a black cloth back.
