This plaquette representing the Judgement of Paris was probably made by Jakob Cornelisz Cobaert (active 1568-1615) in Rome, in about 1590-1610. This was made after a design by Guglielmo della Porta 9active 1531-1577).

Physical description
Bronze plaquette depicting the Judgement of Paris. Paris is seated on the left with Mercury beyond him; he reaches the apple to Venus, who has Cupid beside her. Beyond Venus is Minerva and Juno on the right. In the foreground a river god with an urn, in the background on the right a naked female figure (Helen?), in the clouds Jupiter with his eagle.
