Object history | A version of this composition in oil was in the collection of Col. M. H. Grant and a sepia drawing of 1817 in the Ashmolean Museum. Another water-colour version was with the Leger Gallery in 1954, (dated ?1852). This is more closely related to the steel engraving by E. Finden in the Literary Souvenir, 1827, which differs in detail from P.71-1968. |
