Object history
Headdress worn in Michael Charnley's ballet 'Homage to a Princess' performed by London Festival Ballet at the Theatre de Monte Carlo, 18th April 1956. The music for the ballet was composed by Stan Kneton, and the scenery and costumes were designed by André Levasseur. The ballet was created for the gala performance to celebrate the marriage of Grace Kelly and His Serene Highness, Prince Rainier of Monaco.
