Physical description | Carved bone panel from a casket depicting a griffin. A seated two-pawed bird-like creature with a slender animal's head and erect feathered tail and wings. There are remains of gilding on the tail and wings. The palin border and ground are pierced with several holes, one of which contains an ivory pin. |
