Production
This is one a series of works by the artist using a large camera obsura with a complex series of apertures to produce nearly 100 simultaneous exposures of a drawing of a tree. In this example he uses two brushstrokes across the schematic grid to determine the placement of the apertures. The use of the brushstroke relates to the brushing on of chemicals during the process of developing photographs.
