A padded, rectangular card with gilt, embossed decoration. The front has a coloured lithograph scrap of two children and a robin against a hand-painted sky with a spray of real fern attached. It bears the words ‘A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR’, and is surrounded by a raised border of polychrome flowers and leaves. The back has a verse printed in blue within a circular frame of pierced and gilt paper.
