Shadow puppet of a group of Chinese men wearing long robes over wide trousers, depicted in profile walking to their right. Constructed in three pieces of cut card painted in ochre, scarlet, black and blue. The figures have suffered damage: the head of the central figure is lacking; the left hand figure has been torn in two at the upper arm area and his head has been torn off, but is retained as a separate piece. The feet and lower trousers of all three characters have suffered damage: the lower right trouser section of the left hand figure is now retained as a separate piece
