Toy marionette of a man, possibly a commedia dell'arte figure, with painted clay head, body, legs and feet. His hair, beard and moustache are painted matt grey and he has a painted black mask. He wears a tan-coloured hat made from cotton stocking material; a brown felt jerkin worn over a brushed cotton shirt tied with a salmon-pink waist belt, and brown woollen trousers. His legs are painted matt grey and his boots a shiny black. The figure is not strung
