This is an ivory panel made in the late 14th or early 15th century Italy. This panel is in two tiers, each surmounted by an arcade of six arches, the subjects separated by slender columns. Below, the Annunciation and the Visitation, above the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. Part of the column separating the lower scenes has been broken away.

Physical description
Pierced ivory panel in two tiers, each surmounted by an arcade of six arches, the subjects separated by slender columns. Below, the Annunciation and the Visitation, above the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. Part of the column separating the lower scenes has been broken away. In the Crucifixion scene Christ is shown on a rugged cross, with the swooning Virgin supported by a Holy Woman on the left and St John the Evangelist in front of two Jews on the right. In the Resurrection the blessing Christ is shown stepping from the tomb, the front of which is decorated with lozenges, and is flanked by angels.
