Marionette of a dejected peasant woman with carved and painted wooden face, legs and shoes. She has a carved jointed wooden torso and wooden hands. She wears a dark gold headscarf with a border pattern in brown, green and magenta, and a beige cotton blouse with a row of yellow buttons at the front, over which is a chestnut brown waistcoat. She has a calf-length mustard yellow linen skirt trimmed with salmon pink ribbon, a pale orange flannelette petticoat and her legs and shoes are painted ochre. Without strings or controls
