Object history | Costume for the Herald in Mikhail Fokine's ballet 'Cendrillon', performed by the de Basil Ballets Russes, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, 19th July 1938. The ballet (in three parts) was based on the fairy story by Charles Perrault. The music was composed by Frederic d'Erlanger, and the scenery and costumes were designed by Natalia Goncharova. |
