Trades Photographs showing craftspeople at work are rare in this period. Few people felt such ordinary activities were worth recording. We appreciate these images now for the insight they give us not only into how objects were made, but also the lives of the people making them. These examples by the Armenian photographer Gabriel Lékégian show coppersmiths and wood turners practicing their craft in workshops open to the street. 1.
