Object history
Recreation of the headdress worn by Fanny Elssler in the dance La Cachucha from 'Le Diable Boiteux' performed by Ballet for All at the Civic Theatre, Rotherham, 27th September, 1967. The choreography for the dance was based on the notated score by F A Zorn which was translated into labonotation by Ann Hutchinson, and staged by Hutchinson and Philippa Heale. The music for the dance was arranged by John Lanchbery after a traditional score, and the costume was based after contemporary lithographs.
