Place of origin |
Part of a series of carbon prints in different colours of what the artist termed 'snapshots' of his seaside holidays in Hastings (1893), Jersey (1896) and elsewhere. Four images show the sun setting over the sea with dramatic contrast between the light and shade reflected on the water, and one is a group scene of people on a beach at low tide with two large boats in the water behind them and smaller rowing boats situated on the sand.
