Sauce tureen, one of a pair, silver, the body with upswept ends, resting on a spreading, oval foot. The rims of the body and foot, reeded. The body decorated with embossed swags and bows, and a central, circular medallion incorporating a soldier's head with helmet on each side. At each end, an embossed lion's head pierced by a circular ring. The detachable lid follows the contours of the body with a domed centre decorated with acanthus leaves, surmounted by a vase finial.

Physical description
Sauce tureen, one of a pair, silver, the body with upswept ends, resting on a spreading, oval foot. The rims of the body and foot, reeded.
