This is one of a group of portraits of the family of Sir William Chambers, R.A., bequeathed to the National Portrait Gallery by Miss E. F. E. Pebardy. Another portrait of the sitter after her marriage to William Innes of Jamaica, is P.15-1958, a miniature by G. Engleheart.
