Spoon, silver, parcel-gilt, hexagonal stem and fig shaped bowl. The finial is the normal type of lion sejant affronté. its front legs replaced by a plain shield. The bowl is pricked IT on the back.

Marks and inscriptions
Marked once in the bowl anf three times on the back of the stem with the mark of a wyvern in a shaped shield. (The same mark is shown in GEP How, Catalogue of the Ellis Sale, 13-14th November, 1935, Lot 142. How following CJ Jackson ascribes the mark to Leicester the crest of wich is a wyvern, sans legs, ermine. The wyvern on this marks has legs.)
