Marks and inscriptions
  • TS monogram, a fleur-de-lys and leopard's head. ( See the Catalogue of Bennett Stanford Collection p.62 for discussion of these marks. The Arms of Shaftesbury are a cross with quarterly 1 & 4, a fleur de lys and 2 & 3 a leopard's head, very similar to the mark here.)
  • Town mark: Shaftsbury (?)
