Object history note
A view of a proposed lay-out for Battersea Park, showing the Crystal Palace re-erected facing the river immediately opposite the Royal Hospital. The new Chelsea Bridge is shown in the right foreground. The Crystal Palace was eventually re-erected on high ground at Sydenham in South London in 1854.
