A cream silk square handkerchief printed with a pattern of nine named national flags linked by a looped chain. There is a yellow capstan wheel in each of the corners from which two masted named flags fly. In the centre is a diamond arrangement of four unidentified flags with (?) pseudo Japanese or Chinese characters in the central space. The predominant colours are yellow, blue, red and black with some green. All the names (eg. Siam, Tunis, Russia) have been inked out. No selvedges visible.
