Place of origin

Possibly skirt material. Printed cotton with a toothed blue and white edging to both selvedges, leading into a rust-coloured ground with white patches with a 'batik' appearance on which there is a repeat pattern of a large 8-pointed star with lobed segments and radiating spikes in black with some white dotting emanating from the 16-pointed blue central star. This large motif is flanked either side by a smaller version, and 2 half mid-sized stars, above and below. Smaller, spikier 8-pointed stars in black occupy spaces on the rust ground. Two selvedges.
