Loom-width of woven navy blue wool. Vertical slits between 11 and 13 cms in length appear at intervals down its length. They are arranged alternately. Attached to one side of each slit and emerging horizontally across the fabric are several plaited wool strands, 14 to 23 cms in length.

Object history	Registered File number 1988/305. NUNO was founded in 1984 as a commercial venture dealing with all stages of textile creation: planning designing, manufacturing and sales. It is a small company which endeavours to combine the best of the past, by drawing on traditional Japanese aesthetics and creative processes, and combining them with modern technologies.
