This group in gilt bronze representing the Virgin and Child with St Anne, is made by an unknown artist in Italy, probably Rome, in ca. 1525-75.

The composition is identical to the marble group by Andrea Sansovino in Sant' Agostino, Rome (1512). There is another version in the Palazzo Schifanoia, Ferrara.
