The characteristic TicTac shape is repeated in the cuff-link and button of the sleeved hand that reaches across the foreground.

The original artwork was painted on canvas, in the style of de Chirico, and in the artist's own words 'it attempts to evoke a strange surrealistic feel for the sweet peppermint taste of this confection. Cool and detached.'
