Bodice for the Woman in Balldress worn by Anne Heaton in Frederick Ashton's ballet 'Apparitions', originally performed at Sadler's Wells Theatre, London, Vic-Wells (now Royal) Ballet, 11th February 1936. The music for the ballet was by Franz Liszt, arranged by Constant Lambert and orchestrated by Gordon Jacob. The scenery and costumes were designed by Cecil Beaton.

The ballet was revised for performances at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, 24th March 1949. The ballet was taken into the repertoire of the Sadler's Wells Theatre Ballet at the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, Stratford upon Avon, 27th January 1957.

This costume was for the 1957 revival.
