Physical description

Satirical print showing a French soldier conversing with a young woman in cantinière (or vivandière) uniform who carries a bottle of wine and a small barrel of alcohol over her shoulder. The soldier is holding a small glass in his hand. In the background are defence works and soldiers. Print from a set of caricatures, broadsheets and illustrations in ten volumes. Each volume is half-bound in red leather, gold tooled and stamped with imperial emblems, title etc.
