Physical description

Satirical print showing the German emperor Wilhelm I bringing Napoleon III and Louis Jules Trochu together to shake hands. Napoleon III is holding a roll of paper lettered 'Capitulation de Sedan' and Trochu is holding a roll of paper lettered 'Capitulation de Paris'. The latter has a bandage around his head. Print from a set of caricatures, broadsheets and illustrations in ten volumes. Each volume is half-bound in red leather, gold tooled and stamped with imperial emblems, title etc.
