Satirical print in which Napoleon III is locked up in a cage on the left as Wilhelm I, depicted as a large cat, looks in. To the right is a female figure, standing on the back of a train engine, and about to cover Wilhelm with the cap of liberty. The cap of liberty is lettered: 'France 1871'; the train has 'Réveil' written on the side; Napoleon's cage is lettered above with the words 'Sourcière à double détente b.s.g.d.g. Fabrique à Sedan. Sucle. à Paris'. Print from a set of caricatures, broadsheets and illustrations in ten volumes. Each volume is half-bound in red leather, gold tooled and stamped with imperial emblems, title etc.
