Satricial print in which the German emperor, Wilhelm I, is depicted as Christ on the cross. Above his head a sheet of paper is nailed to the crucifix and lettered 'Man. Sprich. Deuths'. Standing on the left is Otto von Bismarck, and on the right is General Trochu. All are depicted with halos. At the foot of the crucifix is a pile of bones and skulls, one of which is wearing the cap of liberty. Print from a set of caricatures, broadsheets and illustrations in ten volumes. Each volume is half-bound in red leather, gold tooled and stamped with imperial emblems, title etc.
