Physical description

Satirical print in which Otto von Bismarck demands the payment of money from the French. The general is show standing on the right, his head disproportionately large, holding a bag of money in his left hand and holding out his right. On the left, a man, presumably the emperor Napoleon III, is shown holding a bill sheet. In the background a German soldier pulls a cart loaded with money. Print from a set of caricatures, broadsheets and illustrations in ten volumes. Each volume is half-bound in red leather, gold tooled and stamped with imperial emblems, title etc.
