Leaf, with 9-line historiated initial F (the prophet Baruch with banderoll lettered "pater noster et noster pater" burnished gold ground) and bagette, in lower margin a donkey, cloth over back, with hands ad two-headed snake in mouth and under tail; on verso. 3-line initial P in blue with red flourishing, "ij" written in margin to guide rubricator

Descriptive line

Leaf from Bible, Book of Baruch, with 9-line historiated initial E depicitng the prophet Barch with baderoll lettered "pater noster et noster pater" on burnished gold ground, and bagette. In lower margin a donkey with cloth over it's back with heads of two-headed snake in mouth and under tail. On verso, 3-line initial P in blue with red flourishing, "ij" written in margin to guide rubricator. Netherlandish. Early 14th century. A duplicate number MS.219 was assigned to this object in error and was subsequently cancelled.
