Costume worn by David Collins (possibly in Romeo & Juliet). Long sleeved unfitted jacket with loose round neck, of silver grey blue ?rayon, appliqued with vertical lines of gold lace braid, grey blue braid, narrow gold braid, gold Russia braid, black petersham and gold ribbon. The sleeves are finished in deep cuffs. Attached to the shoulders, one to the back and one to the front, is a 'yoke' cut into ragged strips on the right shoulder. Around the waist, attached to the lower edge is a deep band of the same fabric forming deep pockets. The jacket fastens on the left shoulder with large press studs. Attached at the right shoulder and secured at right centre front continuing into the 'pocket' is a length of black plaited braid, attached to the end of which is a decorative shape of stiffened gold lame outlined in gold cord and decorated at the lower edge with gold faceted beads, pearls, glass studs and, hanging from the lower edge, pear shaped pearls, one topped with a red jewel. The fabric and decoration has been broken down.
