Physical description
Jacket worn by Jennie Linden. Sleeveless jacket with sailor collar to the back, collarless at the front, and pleated down the back. In the front, at bust height, are triangular 'revers' buttoned down with a covered button and loop, revealing the lining. The jacket is lined with satin printed with a multicoloured geometric 'Ikat' inspired design. Either side of the front are pockets, in one of which is tucket S.732B-1983.

Object history note
Costume worn by Jennie Linden in the musical 'This Thing Called Love' performed at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury, September 1982. The music and lyrics were compiled by David Kernan & John Moffat from various authors and composers, and the show was produced by Wendy Toye. The costume were designed by Bill Gibb using silk presented by the European Commission for the Promotion of Silk.
