Leaf from a Missal. Two initial D, one in green on a gold ground with St Margaret in the centre and one in pink on a gold ground and green outline with St Mary Magdalene in the centre. Bracket border of foliage coupling them and enclosing another miniature of St. Mary Magdalene surrounded with beasts and birds, including a bear, squirrels, and an owl. Germany, 15th century. A duplicate number MS.437 was assigned to this object in error and was subsequently cancelled.
