Content description | This event took place from Halloween to Bonfire Night 1966 and was co-organised by the London Filmmakers Co-Op and the International Times, London's first weekly Underground newspaper, particularly through its editor and countercultural organiser Jim Haynes. The Festival came just two weeks after the founding of the Co-Op, which itself came about from American underground film screenings at Better Books in Charing Cross Road. |
