Costume reputedly for Sir Peter Teasle worn by Ralph Richardson. 18th century style skirted coat with back and side pleats of pink lurex threaded jaspe velvet with edge to edge fronts, small collar, turn back cuffs and pocket flaps. The cuffs, fronts and flaps are embroidered with stylized 'ball' flowers in blue and pink, with blue green foliage and brown 'earth hills' and false embroidered buttonholes. The buttons are of black plastic with raised gold flowers.
