Small format poster printed on yellow paper depicting a photograph by Art Zollo of two young people flanking an enormous jar of joints. One peers into the top smiling profusely. The prize for guessing correctly was a free pound of marijuana. Answers could be called in to 'smoke-in central (212) 477-6243'.
Speakers listed as follows: Frank Fiormonti (from NORML, National Organization to Reform Marijuana Laws), Lindsey Audin (from the NY Coalition to Stop S-1) Dave Dellinger (activist), A.J. Weberman (garbologist etc) and Aron Kay (Yippie sharpshooter who pied Bill Buckley). Music was provided by Reflex, Eels, and Sugar Blues Band.
Lettered across the bottom 'MayDay is Jay Day was partially rained out. This is the same event! Next rain day: May 16'.
